For my program, I need 20 scanning hours in 8 weeks before the practical (In case you don’t know a practical is like a final scanning exam. You need to pass the practical with an 86 or better otherwise you phase out of the program. Someone can only phase out one time and then they can never come back). This term we are doing abdominal scanning so it is harder to get patients because they need to fast for 8 hours before we can scan them. The patients as I refer to them are fellow students. I post in my school’s app asking for people to scan at specific times and they can respond. However, I haven’t gotten many people to scan. In three weeks I have four hours I should have closer to 8 already. Not many people want to voluntarily fast for 8 hours. Also, its hard for people to come at the times I’m available because when I am free they have class. I still have a month, but four weeks to get 17 hours is getting stressful I can feel the pressure now. I really hope more people will let me scan them! I have to pass this class!
Speaking of passing the class, maybe I shouldn’t be job hunting. However, I need that too. I’ve got to pay the few bills I have somehow. Although my day is already busy enough so how will I do it all? If you do not know me I like to be busy I get quite down when I have nothing to do so I like my day to be very full from when I wake up to when I go to sleep. Now don’t get me wrong every once an awhile I do need to take a personal day so I don’t get burnt out. However, the busier I am the more I get done and the less I procrastinate.
Anyways, back to the job. My friend said I should apply for the VP RHA position (Again for those of you who don’t know RHA is residence housing association- so basically I’m applying for VP of housing). This is stressful because I am going up against at least 15 other people. I also am more… let’s say, resered person. So I am a little worried. So if someone has a loud voice then I may be toast. However, I’m gonna think about the positive. Once everyone is quite I can talk, and it being loud means the meetings are going great because lots of students are showing up!
